In the most substantial upgrade to the desktop playing experience since the 2019’s Poker 8, 888poker has rolled out a new update that touches nearly every aspect of the online poker experience.
Deployed globally to players on February 19, the new upgrades adds new features to players playing on both Mac and Windows platforms. After some initial testing in the Italian market since late 2023, the new upgrades are now ready for prime-time — providing more data, a cleaner interface, and added social features to players using desktop clients.
No matter what kind of poker you enjoy, the experience on 888poker is improved. New features abound on MTT tables, including new interfaces for PKO and Mystery Bounty games, as well as BLAST, SNAP, and full-ring cash tables for a revamped playing experience across the site.
Among the new features, signaled by Amit Berkovich, VP head of poker at 888 in a recent exclusive interview with PRO, are better data mining and notetaking on MTT games, new throwables and emojis, and new-look table redesigns.
“We’ve used player feedback to improve our PC client and deliver a better, entertaining product,” the operator said in its release on the new software.
“More Intuitive” Design
“We’ve designed the software to be more intuitive, with more things to do and access at the tables.” That was how the operator described the new software rollout in the 888poker Magazine this week.
Among the new features being touted by the operator are:

- New-look environments
- At-table tournament statistics
- More throwables

Among the features rolled out in the new software are a variety of new ways to get more data on the games and playing experience. MTT tables now have a Live Lobby right on the tables.
This helps keep MTT players up to date on all the vital tournament data without ever leaving the table and adds a lot of transparency to the games, especially for Mystery Bounties. A new MB button on those tables gives players access to all the bounty values as well as the bounties claimed so far.
The new software also features additional notetaking functions for players right at the table. That means players are better able to access data needed to make decisions about actions against specific players based on previous tendencies.
Among the other new features are revamped SNAP tables, as well as more tournament data in the popular BLAST jackpot games. The new BLAST interface provides vital details on blind levels and time remaining in a much clearer manner.
PKO tables have a new look as well with a boxing ring theme and a gold icon to indicate the biggest bounty at the table, making targeting that much easier. New throwables and reaction emojis also add to the social experience of the game with better animations for more fun.
