Who Is Patrick “Egipton” Tardif?

A former professional HALO player and English teacher, Patrick has led an exciting and vibrant life that took him around the world and allowed him to live on his own terms.

A University of Western Ontario Almuni, Patrick quit his career as an English language teacher in South Korea to pursue one in online poker in 2017 and he never looked back.

Over the years, Tardif built up his online poker bankroll playing under the moniker “Egipton” and amassed over $11 million in winnings, collecting numerous significant scores in prestigious poker tournaments.

Apart from his online success, Tardif also collected just over half a million in live winnings as well, his most notable score in the live arena coming at the 2020 WPT Fallsview event, where he just nearly missed out on a WPT title, coming second for CAD $210,947.

With his popular Twitch channel, Patrick has been able to stream his online poker success to thousands of followers and provide them with extensive hand analysis and useful educational content that many have used to enhance their own online poker journeys.

Speaking on his new role as WPT Global ambassador, he said: “I am eager to join WPT Global as an ambassador. WPT Global’s commitment to innovation and delivering a world-class poker experience aligns perfectly with my passion for the game. I can’t wait to start connecting with the community and battle in the huge tournaments & cash games WPT Global has to offer.”

Xuan Liu Extends Her WPT Global Contract

Alongside the news of Patrick Tardif joining the operator, WPT Global also announced that another recent addition to the team, Xuan Liu, has extended her contract and will be remaining a part of the ambassadors team for the foreseeable future.

Xuan, who just recently became a part of the WPT Global team, has now confirmed her commitment to the brand and will continue to represent it in the coming months.

Liu commented: “I am excited to continue my journey with WPT Global. The brand’s dedication to giving players the best possible experience and its innovative approach to protecting and enhancing the game have always resonated with me. I’m looking forward to another year of representing WPT Global and engaging with the poker community.”

Xuan Liu, whose poker success includes over $2.2 million in tournament earnings and a long career in poker spanning back to 2007, will continue to be an invaluable part of the WPT Global team of ambassadors.

Most recently, Liu was seen traveling across her homeland playing poker in Canada, visiting a variety of lesser-known casinos in every single province and competing against locals in an attempt to grow the game of poker and showcase both her survival talents and the interest in poker that exists across the country.

WPT Global Continues Adding New Talents

Since its launch in April 2022, WPT Global has quickly grown into one of the biggest online poker operators in the world and surpassed the wildest expectations.

The WPT Global ambassadors team has played a key role in that growth, as the site has managed to bring some of the biggest poker talents in the world and get them working together at promoting the brand.

The likes of Brad Owen and Ethan “Rampage” Yau contributed greatly by showcasing the brand on their Vlogs and their online platforms, while the addition of Phil Ivey announced to the world that WPT Global means business and is able to reach into the very top echelons of poker players.

Now, the WPT Global team has been expanded by one of the top online poker streamers in the world in Patrick “Egipton” Tardif, as well as a talented female poker player in Xuan Liu, both invaluable additions to the roster.

Speaking on the latest signings, WPT Global’s Alex Scott commented: “Having both Patrick and Xuan representing WPT Global is a tremendous honour. Patrick’s extensive experience at the top level of MTTs and his innovative approach to streaming is the perfect addition to our brand. Meanwhile, Xuan’s proven track record and deep understanding of poker continues to inspire our community, bringing more players to the game and the WPT Global brand.”

“Their combined expertise not only elevates our platform but also reinforces our mission to offer the best poker experience to players worldwide. We are confident that their contributions will drive significant growth and engagement.”

The new signings come at a time when WPT Global is getting involved in competition with PokerStars to become the second biggest online poker operator, and the new ambassadors are guaranteed to play a significant role in any future steps in that direction.
