GGPoker broke a number of records with its recently finished GG World Festival and the action will keep on going as another iteration of microFestival kicks off on June 23.
The massive GG World Festival hosted an incredible 1623 tournaments with more than 5 million entrants showing up to play and shattering the festival’s $250 million guarantee by quite a margin, eventually paying out just over $331 million in prize money.
While the microFestival will by no means be such a grand affair, the festival will also feature much smaller buyins and allow everyone with a GGPoker account to have a chance at glory at a very affordable entry point.
Running from June 23 to July 7, microFestival will pay out millions in prize money across hundreds of events with buyins as low as just $1.
- Or get up to $100 worth of rewards
- Available in many regulated markets
- Great MTT schedule including WSOP events
GGPoker microFestival Highlights:
- Two weeks of micro stakes tournament action
- $1 million guaranteed Main Event with $10.80 buyin
- Three game formats for each event (NLH, KO, PLO)
- Three daily $5k Second Chance Freerolls
- Special “Zodiac” events for players in Asia
Choose Your Game Type with microFestival
The massive overall guaranteed prize pool of microFestival will surely be its main selling point, but another feature that will appeal to many players are the three different version of each event on the schedule.
Unlike many other online poker festivals that feature three buyin levels of each event, the three versions of microFestival events will feature the same buyin but a different game format, namely NLH, KO, and PLO.
Whether you enjoy playing regular No Limit Hold’em, KO tournaments, or Pot Limit Omaha, the festival will give you well over 100 chances to compete in each format with buyins rarely reaching over $10.80 and only a handful of $25 events on the list.
The three versions of each event will feature different guaranteed prize pools based on the popular demand for the particular game format, but each will come with significant prize money regardless of attendance.
With just over 150 events scheduled and three versions of each offered, there will be more than 450 total tournaments running as part of microFestival in a scope of just two weeks, making it an ideal time for micro stakes players to focus on the grind at GGPoker.
Key Events Carry Over a Million in Prizes
The entirety of GGPoker’s microFestival will come with handsome guaranteed prize pools, but a handful of key events will bring the biggest paydays for the players who make a deep run and reach the final table.
It is worth noting that Asian players will get a chance to play unique microFestival events dubbed “Zodiac” in the lobby, which will have their buyins and prize pools all indicated in JPY.
Here is a quick look at a few of the key events you will not want to miss out on during the microFestival whether you are playing from Europe, Asia, or rest of the world:

Get a Second Chance with Daily Freerolls
A major part of the GGPoker microFestival will be the daily freeroll tournaments which will be hosted each day of the series.
All players who participate in a microFestival event and don’t make the money will receive the ticket for the corresponding freeroll tournament hosted the next day, each carrying a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool for a grand total of $250,000 across the festival.
The daily freerolls will be hosted as follows:
- Every day at 4 PM: $5k NLH Freeroll
- Every day at 6 PM: $5k KO Freeroll
- Every day at 8 PM: $5k PLO Freeroll
Earning your ticket to the $5k freerolls will be as easy as participating in any of the events and not cashing it, which means those who put in a serious grind will get a chance to play each of the events. What’s more, you can earn entry into all three daily freerolls by not cashing one event of each type the day before.
For the players in the Asia Time Zone, GGPoker has prepared special $5k Asia Freerolls on Saturdays and Sundays, which will be available to all players who don’t make the money in one of the Zodiac events throughout the week.
