GGPoker Ontario is celebrating this holiday season with the return of the Winter Giveaway Series (WGS) for the second year in a row.
Running from December 15 to January 13, 2025, the WGS is set to offer CAD $5 million in guaranteed prize money.
But this is not any typical tournament series that players usually see in any online poker room. In the spirit of the festive season, GGPoker is going above and beyond, adding a generous CAD $250,000 in extra prize money to complement the already impressive guaranteed prize pool.
How will the bonus prize money be distributed? GGPoker will allocate an additional 5% of the guarantee to select tournaments. For example, if a tournament has a CAD $100,000 prize pool, the operator will boost it by an extra CAD $5,000, increasing the tournament’s overall value.
“This Winter Holiday season, we’re making things even more exciting!” reads the promotional text on the series webpage. “We’re giving away an extra 5% of the Guarantee, added completely free to the prize pool.”
