The Bounty Hunter Series over at GGPoker is slowly coming to its conclusion, but, as is often the case, the operator is saving the best for last, with the $5M Main Event set to find its winner on Monday, April 21.
The $108 Main Event offers great value for the money with its massive guarantee, and in its effort to make the tournament more accessible to the overall player pool, GGPoker made it a phased event with numerous Phase 1 flights running over the course of the series.
Each Stage 1 sends 10% of the entire field to Day 2 on April 21. At this point, all those who secured their seat in the final day will come together and play down to the winner.
- Or get up to $100 worth of rewards
- Available in many regulated markets
- Great MTT schedule including WSOP events
A Lot of Time to Qualify Still Remaining
Although quite a few players have already secured their seats in the Bounty Hunter Series Main Event (just shy of 2,800 at the time of writing this), there are still quite a few Phase 1 flights remaining on the schedule.
Over the course of the next few days (Apr 18 — 20), there is a Stage 1 flight kicking off every two hours. On April 21, players will also have several final opportunities to pull through before Day 2 gets underway.
Even if you have qualified already, joining some of these flights can be beneficial to boost your stack. Namely, those players who manage to find a Day 2 bag multiple times will have all the chips they carry over combined together, which certainly opens doors for some strategizing, especially if you have a big enough bankroll.
Right now, the tournament is overlaying in excess of $1.5 million with close to 34,000 total entries, but with so many starting flights still remaining, it will likely reach and exceed its guarantee.
Having a big stack to work with will be particularly beneficial in this event as Mystery Bounties kick in on Day 2. Covering as many players at your table as possible will put you in a good spot to claim some of these bounties.
$10 Satellites Running Around the Clock
The $108 buy-in for a $5,000,000 guaranteed tournament is quite reasonable, but it is still outside of many players’ bankroll guidelines. For those players, GGPoker is hosting heaps of $10 satellites running around the clock, dishing out seats to Main Event Stage 1s.
There are at least two satellites starting every hour, guaranteeing anywhere between two and five Main Event seats, so you can pick the time that works best for you to sit down and take a few shots.
All qualifiers offer unlimited reentries for the first eight levels, so it’s up to you to decide what is the best use for your bankroll, i.e., reentering the same event if you feel the field is soft or registering for a fresh one and starting with a brand new stack.
All in all, there is more than enough time and opportunities to get involved with the upcoming Bounty Hunters Main Event regardless of your bankroll and timetable, so we suggest you check out the lobby, make some plans, and give this event a fair shot!
