We Are in for Another Exciting Season

The first season of The Big Game on Tour brought back everything that got the fans to fall so in love with the show in the first place. There were tense moments, difficult decisions, and some questionable plays made under pressure.

The two loose cannons, Nikki Limo and Lily Newhouse, played their roles, battling it out to the last hand. In the end, only Newhouse managed to walk away with a profit over her initial $50,000 stake, taking home $55,800.

There is no doubt that the second season of the show will bring just as much fun and excitement, with an excellent mix of pros and celebrities occupying the remaining five seats.

The first loose cannon will have to face pros like Andre Akkari, Sam Grafton, and Griffin Benger, as well as poker-loving superstars from other walks of life, including Jen Tilly and Gerard Pique.

Other players we’ll also get to watch at The Big Game on Tour include Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski, Nick Wright, Antonio ‘The Magician’ Esfandiari, and Phil Hellmuth.

Although there is a bit of mystery around the new season, we know that the format and the rules have not changed. Each loose cannon will be staked $50,000 and will need to play 150 hands. Once all hands have been played, they get to keep any profit they make over the initial $50,000.

Can Loose Cannons Beat the Odds?

While there are many things to like about The Big Game on Tour, it is the original concept of this show that pulls the viewers in. Pitching “regular” poker-loving folks against hardened professionals and various celebrities to see how they hold up under pressure adds a special kind of magic.

Loose Cannons don’t have to risk any of their own money to sit down, but the pressure is real. First of all, they know that their every move will be seen and judged by millions of people worldwide.

Secondly, the moment they get their stack over that initial $50,000, they are in a position where they have to play with their own money as well. And the bigger that profit margin gets, the harder their decisions become.

Not everyone is made for that Loose Cannon seat, which is why there is a grueling selection process to select the best ones from dozens of hopefuls. So far, PokerStars and its team have done a great job of it, so we are all excited to finally find out who got the honors for this season.

Stay tuned as answers are coming this Saturday!
