With the The Big Game on Tour heading into its second session of the season, we expected the action to ramp up, and the game certainly delivered on those expectations.
The session was primarily marked by several bomb pots, as players took advantage of a new feature introduced this season, allowing them to use their Bomb Pot Card at the start of any hand.
This means that everyone at the table posts a blind bet of $600, and all six players proceed to the flop without any preflop action, leading to some interesting spots with completely undefined ranges.
The end result of it all is that we saw quite a few exciting pots, with Jen Tilly and Gerard Pique at the center of the action. As for the Loose Cannon, Jordan tried to make things happen, but once again, the cards refused to cooperate.

Explosive Action on the Felt
Looking to spice things up a bit, PokerStars added a new feature for this season of The Big Game on Tour, giving all players one Bomb Pot Card to use whenever they like.
Griffin Benger was the first one to get the ball rolling, throwing his card in the middle. Jordan and Griffin were the only ones to really connect with the flop, and the Loose Cannon managed to avoid Benger’s flush outs to scoop a $9,000 pot and get her stack closer to the even mark.
Andre Akkari joined the fun a few hands later, calling for another bomb pot. That one eventually went to Sam Grafton, who managed to make the nuts on the river and pick up a few thousand, mostly courtesy of Gerard Pique.
Toward the end of the session, it was Pique who utilized his Bomb Pot Card. Once again, despite all six players seeing the flop, there wasn’t too much action, and it was Jen Till who picked up the pot of $6,000.
Tilly and Pique were the main drivers of action over the course of the session, finishing on opposite ends of the profit leaderboard. After a total of 62 hands, Jen is $54,000 ahead, while the football star has some catching up to do, stuck $35,000.
Loose Cannon Continues to Struggle
Despite picking up an early pot to get almost back to even, the rest of the session didn’t quite go Jordan Handrich’s way. All said and done, she wrapped things up stuck almost $32,000, which leaves her with a stack of $18,000.
After losing a few smaller pots, Handrich lost a substantial hand to Sam Grafton, who found his gutshot straight on the river to get ahead of the Loose Cannon’s top pair turned lower straight. There wasn’t much she could have done differently in that hand; it was just the case of cards falling the wrong way.
Coming into the third session, Jordan will have her work cut out for her, with just over $18k to work with. She still has her Bomb Pot Card available, and she might take it for a spin to try and make something happen.
The Loose Cannon may be down, but she’s certainly not out. There is still plenty of play left, and one or two hands going her way could completely turn things around. Given the state of affairs, we could be headed for the most exciting session of the Big Game on Tour so far!
