- Chairman Walkup of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma has announced that the tribe is seeking clearance from the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma to launch an online poker and casino site in 2016.
- The move comes as the result of the Iowa Tribe obtaining a ruling from an arbitrator in November stating that internet based real money gambling is not prohibited by its compact with Oklahoma or any other state or federal law.
- Upon approval, the tribe will offer online gaming to people in the three states that have legalized online gambling, Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware, as well as players internationally.
