ChiliPoker.com, ChiliGaming’s real-money iPoker skin, announced that it has merged with fellow skin Poker770. The migration is expected to be complete by Friday. Players currently cannot log in to the client, but it will be automatically updated tomorrow morning. Account balances will be transitioned automatically.
The decision to merge skins comes one week after the announcement that the B2B arm of ChiliGaming had been sold to Bally Technologies. Its free-play “social media” system Chiliplay already sports the Bally logo.
The ChiliPoker.com brand will continue. It is planned to re-open with a US-facing site “in a matter of months.” Chili’s other consumer-facing properties, including The Deep Stack Open tournament series, will also continue.
According to Chili CEO Alexandre Dreyfus who spoke with pokerfuse, the decision to merge the businesses is to increase the liquidity of the two skins. Poker770 is one of the more prominent brands on the iPoker network, and is rumored to be a part of the “iPoker 2” network split.
