Full Tilt Poker has announced a new Micro Turbo Online Poker Series (MTOPS), which will offer over $2 million in guaranteed prizes over a two-week schedule of events with low (“micro”) buyins, and rapidly climbing levels that offer the chance of deep runs with only a few hours invested at the tables.
The new MTOPS series is slated for Sunday, June 9 to Sunday, June 23, and will include 75 separate events. Buyins start as low as $.50+.05, and one event (#68), even allows a buyin for just 100 Full Tilt Points (FTPs). Satellites to the MTOPS events are available for as little as six cents ($.05+.01).
According to promotional material for the new series, highlights include:
Event #1, Sunday, June 9: A $10,000 prize pool and a $1.10 buyin in the MTOPS’ “New to the Game” NLHE series opener;
Event #39, Sunday June 16: A $100,000 guarantee event, also NLHE, with a $5.50 buyin;
Event #68, Saturday, June 22: The 100-FTP tourney, with a $10,000 guarantee. Players can buy in up to four times;
Event #75, Sunday, June 23: The MTOPS main event, with a $1,000,000 guarantee and a $15 buyin. The starting chip stacks of 10,000 are the highest for any MTOPS event.
Most of the MTOPS events are hold’em tourneys, but selected event formats include pot-limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., 2-7 triple draw, seven-card stud, razz, a “10-game” event, courcheval, Irish, badugi, and five-card draw.
