The IGT Network, previously known as Entraction, has reduced the registration fees on Sit and Go tournament to 5% across the board. Changes have also been made to cash games, increasing rake caps at high stakes and increasing the minimum buyins. The changes went into effect at the beginning of the month.
With the industry standard for SNG rake around 9-10% on micro- to mid-stakes for regular speed games and 7-8% on turbos, the reductions make IGT’s offering very competitive and will appeal to high volume players. For example, the old €10+1 SNGs – which were above the industry standard – are now, €10+0.5, one of the cheapest available.
The good news does not stretch to cash game players. Rake caps on high limit cash game tables have been increased: NL, PL, ½ PL and FL for tables with blinds €10/20 have all gone up. The new rake tables are as follows:
- No Limit, Pot Limit, ½ Pot Limit and Fixed Limit for €5/10 and below: €0.01 in rake for each €0.20 in the pot and capped at €0.75 for 2 players seated, €2.00 for 3 players and €3.00 for 4-10 players. For pots between €0.20 and €0.39 the rake is €0.02p.
- No Limit, Pot Limit, ½ Pot Limit and Fixed Limit for €10/20 and upwards: €0.01 in rake for each €0.20 in the pot and capped at €1.50 for 2 players seated, €3.00 for 3 players and €4.00 for 4-10 players.
IGT has also increased minimum buyins on all NL and PL tables in order to reduce the effectiveness of players playing a short-stack strategy. All games that had 20bb minimum buyins are now set at 30.
