Just days after the Merge network reopened its doors to new US players, it has once again claimed the top spot for US facing poker rooms on PokerScout’s Weekly Traffic report by surpassing Bodog.
In less than a full week Merge’s traffic has spiked 7%, but according to PokerScout, “[d]ay-by-day comparisons indicate that the true traffic increase has been closer to 15%.”
The upsurge happens amidst what PokerScout calls “a temporary downslide in poker’s popularity worldwide” that shows a 32% decrease in poker room traffic over the last year, much of which is attributed to the events of Black Friday .
