The poker room on Pinnacle Sports will close its doors tomorrow, citing recent changes to EU regulations rendering their Curacao license incompatible. An announcement made on their website states that the Entraction Poker network informed them of the licensing issue.
“The steps required to remain within the Entraction Network will necessitate a significant commitment for Pinnacle Poker,” it states. “Given that our current focus is on developing our leading Sportsbook and Casino products, we have decided not to persue the necessary changes.”
Since last Thursday, players have been unable to transfer money to the poker room; from tomorrow, the poker client will stop functioning.
Pinnacle Sports, an A+ rated book on authoritative Sportsbook Review, is popular and highly regarded in the industry, offering the lowest margins in the business.
The Sweden-based Entraction, recently bought out by IGT in a deal worth over $110m, boasts over 60 skins on the network including NoiQ and sportsbooks Betsson and CircleBet. However, with peak daily cash players around 2500 players, the loss of high-profile Pinnacle Sports will likely have a noticeable effect on traffic.
