As part of its 10-year celebrations, PokerStars has announced a micro-stakes MTT with hopes to break its own record for largest ever poker tournament.
Scheduled for December 4, the tournament will cost only $1 to enter, and with a $250k guaranteed prize pool and a target of 150k players, a new world record could be set with a $100k overlay. Assuming the PokerStars servers can take hosting some 16,000 tables, a new world record is almost certain.
The promotion is part of PokerStars celebration of 10 years online. Monday’s announcement is the 3rd in a series of ten the poker room will unveil this month, including a $10m guaranteed Sunday million also scheduled for December.
