PokerStars announced on Wednesday the “Micro Millions,” a new tournament series of small-stakes tournaments. Starting March 15 and lasting ten days, the series offers 100 tournaments aimed at recreational and micro stakes players with a combined prize pool guarantees of $5m.
Event buyins start from 11 cents, and the lineup includes daily $1 tournaments as well as plenty of $2-$10 tourneys. The $22 main event takes place on March 25 with a $1m guarantee and a first place prize of at least $150k.
Tournaments will run around the clock each day. As always the main game No Limit Hold’em, but the series also features Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Draw, Stud, 8-Game, and formats including Turbo, Rebuy, Shootout, Knockout, Big Ante and 6-Max.
