- “Never say never”—but PokerStars will no plans to expand into casino games at PokerStars.
Following the addition of casino and slots games to sibling site Full Tilt Poker earlier this year, a representative has confirmed that PokerStars will remain poker-only for the foreseeable future.
“There are no plans at this time for casino games in the PokerStars client,” rep Steve Day wrote in an an extensive Q&A session with 2+2 and PokerStrategy members last weekend.
“I suppose you can never say never, but right now 'We are Poker’ and nothing else,” he added.
Full Tilt Poker began rolling out casino games in January 2014. Blackjack and roulette are integrated into the poker client. It marked the first time that Rational Group has offered non-poker games for real money.
The group confirmed weeks later that it had signed a partnership agreement with Leander Games to add slots content to Full Tilt. Its debut is slated for Spring 2014.
In February, Rational Group confirmed to pokerfuse that it was “exploring the possibilities” of offering sportsbetting.
