Scheduled to be released in the coming month, Relax Gaming will launch a new online poker network dedicated exclusively to the trendy fast-paced poker variant made popular by Full Tilt’s Rush Poker.
Licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC), Relax Gaming has entered into agreements with three European operators—Unibet, Betsson and iGame—to launch the Fast Poker Network.
Fast Poker is the next in a growing line of fast-paced poker games that allow players to enter a pool of players and be whisked off to a new table as soon as they fold their hand. With Full Tilt still offline, it has lead to multiple operators looking to fill the void, including PokerStars’ Zoom Poker and dedicated micro-network Instadeal/Terminal Poker.
To lure existing operators on to the network, Relax is not mincing its words in what it sees as the driving reason to adopt the format. According to its web site, “inexperienced players will lose much less money per hand … consequently generating more rake before running out of funds.“ As a result, the game type “… should generate roughly 4 times the rake per casual player compared to traditional poker.”
Of the three brands mentioned, Betsson already has a poker room on Ongame, and Unibet on Microgaming. Neither network has a fast-paced poker variant, and it is expected that the new poker network will be integrated alongside traditional offerings. iGame is a new brand that promises both fast and regular poker networks alongside casino, bingo and sports betting products.
