As Full Tilt’s Micro Turbo Online Poker Series (MTOPS) enters its second week, satellites for its bigger brother FTOPS get underway today.
The MTOPS consists of 75 low-buyin events and, uniquely, all of them are multi-entry tournaments. As the name suggests, this allows players to enter a tournament multiple times and play concurrently.
The table-balancing system ensures that the two entries controlled by the same player do not sit at the same table. If a player gets multiple entries to the final table, their stack size is combined into one.
This allows for Full Tilt to promise bigger guaranteed prizes for smaller buyins, with prize pools up to $25,000 for buyins as small as $2.
Event 73, a $14+$1 Turbo Pro Bounty tournament and the series’ main event, running Sunday, March 2, guarantees a $500,000 prize pool.
There will be bounties placed on the heads of “The Professionals”, its ambassadors, and its new Black Card Pros.
Satellites for Full Tilt’s primary online poker series FTOPS XXV get underway today. The series, running from March 30 through to April 13, promises over $6m million in prizes across 31 events.
To celebrate the 25th series, a variety of special promotions will run in conjunction. Players will be able to vote on Full Tilt’s blog for another tournament to be added to the schedule; three “mystery events” will be revealed over the course of the event; prize money will be given away through “flip” freerolls; and “Satellite Hero” returns.
An FTOPS XXV leaderboard will also run. The player who finishes at the top will be awarded a four-month Black Card pro sponsorship.
