The British bookmaker Victor Chandler has launched a new poker room on Microgaming alongside its existing offering on Entraction, pokerfuse has learned. The move is to allow customers now blocked on Entraction to continue playing under a Victor Chandler-branded room.
In a surprise statement in September, the Swedish Entraction announced it was planning on block players from Canada, Israel, Norway, Russia and Turkey. On Tuesday, the network made good on its word and began to restrict access from the five named countries with IP blocks.
As with most Microgaming skins, the new poker room – named “BetVictor Poker” – has a more relaxed attitude towards country restrictions. It also boasts a few more players, ranked 9th in PokerScout’s online traffic rankings compare with 11th for Entraction.
