We’ve built the site from scratch based off feedback from players … it’s been a long time in the making but 4Poker is finally here
New online poker room 4Poker has opened its doors to the public in the Latin and South American markets.
Based on the Isle of Man, the online poker start-up was “born out of a passion for poker” and founded by industry veterans, including several former PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker employees, the company states.
Its name has been buzzing around in the industry for a few months. PRO highlighted the pending launch in its 2023 prediction series, anticipating a big splash with its global debut.
In fact, the site soft-launched in the last quarter of 2022, allowing registration via invitation-only to hundreds of players. Now, the site has opened to the public in Latin America, with a full global launch planned soon.
It marks the second new poker room to enter the international market in a matter of just twelve months. WPT Global, also led by experienced industry veterans, launched in early 2022 with some fanfare.
Currently, 4Poker is accepting players in the Latin and South American markets under its Malta license, regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, holding a Type 3 (peer-to-peer poker) gaming service license. It secured its Maltese license in September 2022.
It is unavailable for real money in the US and individually licensed countries such as the UK, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, and others.
“We’ve put together a first-class team to launch 4Poker with a focus on ensuring customer support is professional, payments fee-free, and game integrity given the number one priority it deserves,” said Heath Cram, Chief Operating Officer of 4Poker and former PokerStars employee, in a recent press release. “We want to be transparent and fair, which is what the poker community deserves. And, of course, there’s going to be some big promotions.”
