Online poker in New Jersey continues with another weekend of great tournaments with guarantees, rebuys, top-up and add-ons. Borgata and Partypoker
The New Jersey Championship of Online Poker starts this weekend with the usual Saturday and Sunday Majors replaced by a host of NJCOP tournaments. On Saturday the first of 15 events gets underway with a $50,000 freeroll, and by the end of Sunday Borgata and partypoker will have run through 5 NJCOP events. Overall there are 15 events between April 19 and April 27 guaranteeing $600,000 in prize pool cash.

The weekly event is one of the survivors of the weekend events not being replaced by the NJCOP. Last week 119 entrants registered causing a small overlay which meant the prizepool stayed at $2,500. The winner walked away with a $500 victory after 3 hours and 51 minutes of play.

The Omaha Hi/Lo is another weekly regular not being replaced by the NJCOP. There were 99 players last week, so the prizepool remained at the guaranteed $250 giving the winner a $50.05 win and paid 8 places overall. The tournament lasted a total of 4 hours and 13 minutes.

This tournament produces the largest guaranteed prize pool of the weekend, and the second largest prize pool of the NCJOP. Players are fortunate to start level 1 with only 10/20 blinds giving them 250 big blinds in their starting stacks and plenty of time to be patient as the blinds move up only every 20 minutes.
NJCOP #4 – $10,000 GTD PLO (Re-buy)

Expect the PLO action to be fast and furious as well as full of bad beats as usual. The blinds go up slowly in this tournament structure, and players start with just 100bb stacks. The pace of the PLO action is sure to be quick with some early knockouts guaranteed to encourage rebuys. Rebuys are available for $45.50 for 2,000 chips. Add-ons will cost the same amount at the end of the rebuy period, but players will receive 4,000 chips.
