Lawmakers in New Hampshire have rejected a proposal to legalize online poker and casino gaming ini the state.
On Wednesday, the House Ways and Means Committee met in executive session and voted 20-0 on a motion to reject SB 104. The bill would have made the Granite State the eighth US state with legal online poker and the seventh state with online casinos.
Specifically, the panel adopted a committee report of “inexpedient to legislate” (ITL). According to the New Hampshire Almanac, an organ of state government, “a bill is considered killed when the House or Senate votes to adopt the committee report of 'inexpedient to legislate,’ or when a motion from the floor to 'indefinitely postpone’ is adopted.’”
