“We’re breaking the mold for TV poker and doing things we couldn’t do in a casino setting.” On Monday night, Poker Night in America kicked off its new poker show, Studio 52, with help from several poker celebrities.

Billed as the first-of-its-kind “poker residency,” the show aired from a studio set up inside the home of Poker Night founder Todd Anderson — a 10,000-square foot gated mansion in Las Vegas that includes amenities like a backyard wine cave and an outdoor game pavilion.

The launch comes as the parent of Poker Night, Rush Street Interactive (RSI), makes preparations to launch an online poker platform based on the Run It Once (RIO) poker platform it acquired for $5.8 million back in March 2022.

Two months ago, poker industry guru Phil Galfond — who launched the RIO platform and continues to run a poker training site under the same name — hinted that RSI would eventually roll out an online poker product and that it would be called Run It Once Poker, Powered by BetRivers.
