“This hack is going to change how Vegas has treated cybersecurity for the last 25 years, which is very poorly.” MGM Resorts International signaled that most of its operations were back to normal as of Wednesday morning as it continues to try to recover from a recent cyberattack that also paralyzed Caesars Entertainment.

But in a sign that not everything is back to normal yet, MGM added that “our guests at Excalibur may continue to ask casino cashiers and slot guest representatives for assistance as we work to normalize operations.”

The company, which owns half of BetMGM, took to social media on Wednesday to provide an update on the cyberattack, which occurred sometime over the weeks prior. MGM’s comments on X, formerly known as Twitter, were its first on the matter in six days.
