DraftKings, a US-based daily fantasy sports (DFS) site, has been granted a license from the UK Gambling Commission. The site plans to launch its DFS product in the UK market by the end of the year.

Also announced Monday was the appointment of Jeffrey Haas to head a new UK office and lead DraftKings’ international expansion. Haas was formerly Group Director of Poker and US Operations at bwin.party.

“Our expansion into the United Kingdom marks a milestone moment in the growth of DraftKings as we introduce our world-class product to new audiences,” said Chief Executive Officer Jason Robins.
