- The Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP) has amended its rules on gambling advertising.
- The current rules prohibit the use of “individuals who are or appear to be under the age of 25 from appearing in marketing communications.”
- A “narrow exemption” has now been made where the individual portrayed is a participant in the sport which is the subject of the wager.
- The use of youthful celebrity players to promote gambling sites remains prohibited.
