The Garden City Group has announced that US players with funds trapped on Full Tilt Poker can submit petitions for remissions starting from September 16. Potential claimants will only have until November 16, 2013 to file claims.
If the amount of forfeited funds exceeds the approved claims, players can expect to receive their full balances as of April 15, 2011.
Based on information obtained from Full Tilt, the GCG will email instructions on how to file to former players that may be entitled compensation. Instructions will also be posted on the claims web site.
There has been no indication that players will be reimbursed for non-monetary items (tournament tickets, loyalty points, etc.), nor has there been any mention of compensation for those that other exceptional circumstances that may have impacted their final balance as of Black Friday.
The GCG was appointed as claims administrator by the US Department of Justice to oversee the return of US player deposits in March 2013 and the group completed its “review” earlier this month.
