The World Series of Poker updated its list of expected players for the Big One for One Drop $1 million buy-in tournament that is scheduled to run from June 29 through July 1.

To date, a total of 41 players have been confirmed for the NLHE charity event leaving on 15 seats available. Organizers are optimistic that all 56 seats will be sold prior to the start of the event.

Big names who will be making their debut appearance in the One Drop include former WSOP Main Event champion Greg Merson, Team PokerStars Pro Isaac Haxton, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, Scott Seiver and Doug Polk.

Other renowned players confirmed for this year’s Big One are 2012 winner and Ultimate Poker ambassador Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Ivey, Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu and Vanessa Selbst, and Everest Poker front man and 2012 runner-up Sam Trickett.

Satellite Tournaments

The main “Super Satellite” into the One Drop will take place on Saturday, June 28. The buy-in will be $25,300 with the eventual winner gaining entry into the $1 million NLHE tournament.

Step satellites will start for as little as $200 and range up to $3,750 according to the WSOP. Those will be played out on June 26 and June 27 at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Televised Coverage

ESPN has slated three dates for the exclusive tournament to run—starting at 8:10 Eastern Time. Action from Day 1 and Day 2 will air on Tuesday, July 29, with the final table bubble being televised one week later on August 5.

The In-The-Money action will be televised Tuesday, August 12 with the winner being awarded a potential $20,000,000 prize at the end of the two-hour telecast.

One Drop Statistics

Last year, the Little One for One Drop along with the $111,111 One Drop High Roller event raised $1,326,206 for the One Drop Foundation chaired by billionaire Guy Laliberté.

The Foundation is a non-profit organization which aims to provide clean water to needy individuals in West Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Antonio Esfandiari won the 2012 marquee One Drop event for a payout of over $18,000,000 upon outlasting 47 opponents.

For each $1 million entry into this year’s One Drop event, $111,111 will be allocated for charity while the other $888,889 will go directly into the tournament’s prize pool.
