London has been the stage of many epic European Poker Tour stories. The PokerStars-hosted tour is one of the premier poker happenings in the world, making one leg of poker’s “Triple Crown” of titles, and London is one of the most iconic EPT stops.
The UK capital is now set to return to the EPT fold after eight years, with EPT London starting October 18. There will also be a UKIPT festival before the main EPT stop, so there will be plenty of poker for players of all bankrolls at the Hilton Park Lane in London.
The action for EPT London runs from October 18 through October 28, with the EPT London Main Event kicking off on October 22 with the first starting day. There will be several other exciting tournaments over the 10-day festival, including a couple of mystery bounty games, high rollers, and a Platinum Pass on offer.
This will be a cashless event, so players should be prepared to buy in using alternate means. Details on payment methods are available on the PokerStars Live website.

Return to London
The last time the EPT paid a visit to London was in 2014, but until then, the city was one of the most anticipated stops on the tour. Of course, besides rich poker action, London is also one of the most vibrant cities on the planet.
The city has a perfect blend of on and off-felt activities, as it offers a rich poker culture and centuries of interesting European history. All these things considered, it is no surprise London has played host to some historical EPT moments.
Past winners include Victoria Coren Mitchell, who took down her first EPT title in 2006 in her home city and then became the first (and so far only) player to win two EPT titles. This year’s return trip to the city could easily write more iconic poker stories.
EPT London 2022 Highlights
The last EPT London event was in 2014, and it was a pretty big game. The Main Event drew 675 entries, creating a prize pool that topped £2.6 million from a £4,250 entry fee.
This year, with the live poker world on overdrive after the COVID-19 pandemic, the results could be epic. The last stop on the EPT calendar was in Barcelona and it blew the doors off with more than £60 million in total guarantees and a record Main Event prize pool over £11 million.
One of the newest and fastest-growing poker variants on the agenda for the upcoming series in London is the mystery bounty. Between the EPT and UKIPT-branded events, two mystery bounty games are planned, with smaller bankrolls aiming at the UKIPT. In contrast, bigger ones will target the £3,000 EPT Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty starting October 24.
There are also two Main Events for players to sink their teeth into. The UKIPT has its Main Event starting on October 18 for £1,100, while the EPT Main Event begins on October 22 for £5,300. A £330 EPT London Ladies Event will also run on October 21.
With the massive success of EPT Barcelona, and the general success of live poker across the world coming out of the pandemic, the return to EPT London could be a momentous occasion.
