888poker LIVE Heads to Second Stop in Bucharest

The second stop in the 2024 888poker LIVE schedule is now on deck for the middle of March. With nine events over nine days of poker action, there is plenty on the tables to keep poker grinders happy.

After a successful opening salvo at 888poker LIVE Madrid in January, the battle recommences in Bucharest in mid-March. The action kicks off on Mar 16 with the final hands of the festival playing out on Mar 24.

The main highlight, of course, is the Main Event. With a slightly reduced buy-in of €560, compared to the €888 of the Main in Madrid, the Bucharest Main should be accessible to more players at the festival.

Among the other highlights to watch for are a two-day Mystery Bounty game, a €1,100 High Roller, and a variety of smaller single-day events peppered throughout the 9-day schedule.

Bucharest Goes Blue for 888poker LIVE

While 888poker is up front and center for the whole tour, things get a little more special when the games land in the capital of Romania. Branded the Little Paris of the East, Bucharest is a thriving city in the heart of old Europe that boasts the exclusive 888poker Room.

Decked out in the blue branding of 888, the facility at Piața Alba Iulia 2 in Bucharest is the ideal location for the second stop on the 2024 schedule. And with buy-ins ranging from €65 – €1,100, there should be games for all bankrolls in Bucharest this year.

From Spain to Romania — via UKPL and CNP

The Bucharest series follows on the heels of the opening tilt in the 2024 888poer LIVE schedule in Madrid, Spain. That series kicked off the new season and saw more than 400 runners for the Main Event alone.

But while the LIVE circuit is the big game in town, there is plenty of 888poker on the live felt between Madrid and Bucharest. for players in the UK, the newly minted UK Poker League (UKPL) has its first games of the season ongoing in Edinburgh right now with the Luton UKPL stop coming at the beginning of March, just before Bucharest kicks off.

Meanwhile, Spanish players can sink their teeth into a CNL event in Sevilla starting on Feb 19th and running through Feb 25.

Four Shots at Main Event Bags

As always, the Bucharest series is headlined by the Main Event with players getting four Day 1 chances to bag a stack for Day 2. The first Day 1 shot comes on Mar 20 starting at 5 pm with Day 1b running at the same time on the 21st. Mar 22 hosts two flights for the Main Event with a regular game kicking off at 3 pm, and the last chance flight 1d Turbo starting at 9 pm.

Day 2 of the Main goes at 3 pm on Mar 23rd with the final table and winner to be decided on Mar 24.

The Bucharest schedule looks to have something for almost everyone in 2024. For players looking to experience a live festival on a budget, there are four real-money games for less than €200 including The Mini Shot Turbo for just €65.

At the other end of the spectrum, players looking for bigger games will find the High Roller for €1,100 and the Main Event at €560, as well as a €330 game called The Big Shot.

Cheap Seats for the Big Games

As always, there are ways to get into the big games for less than the sticker price. There are four live satellites to the Main Event for €88 each running daily at 9 pm from the 18th to the 21st but there are also ways to book your cheap seat from the comfort of home.
