After 51 days of intense action and 99 gold bracelets awarded, the 2024 World Series of Poker has officially concluded, with Jonathan Tamayo crowned as the winner. Just like last year, numerous records were shattered, including the most prize money ever awarded, the highest turnout across the series, the biggest Main Event, the largest PLO event, and many more.
While the official numbers are yet to be released, Pokerfuse has crunched the numbers using official event reports from the organizers, supported by PokerNews live reporting.
As we say every year, the numbers are astounding, making it clear that the flagship series is nothing short of a colossal success.

An astonishing $437.2 million in prize money was generated across 99 live bracelet events, averaging $4.4 million per event. There were a total of 228,413 participants. And this doesn’t even include the online bracelet events, which are still ongoing with two events remaining. These are expected to add another $30 million.
Just considering the live bracelet events held at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, the figures are staggering. With nearly $450 million in prize money, the 2024 WSOP ranks among the top five richest sporting events globally. For comparison, the recently held UEFA Euro 2024 had a total prize pool of €331 million, which is equivalent to $360 million USD.
The WSOP earned $41.9 million from the 99 live bracelet events, averaging $1.6 million every two days. Out of this amount, $12.6 million went to pay dealers and staff, leaving WSOP with $29.3 million. Notably, this amount does not even include the fees from the daily side events, satellites, and cash games that ran alongside the bracelet events.
