GGPoker Ontario is hosting the third edition of its flagship tournament series, GGPoker Ontario Festival and once again, the guarantees have gone up compared to the previous edition.
Running until to June 10, this year’s festival is the biggest yet, officially offering C$6 million in prize money. However, our calculations show that the total guarantees actually surpass C$7 million, spread across nearly 700 tournaments.
As with previous editions, the festival is divided into three buy-in tiers. The Low tier features events priced between C$3 and C$25, including popular tournaments like the C$5 Ontario Mini MILLION$, which boasts guarantees of up to C$20,000.

The Medium tier covers buy-ins from C$25 to C$150 and includes several marquee events, such as the C$50 Ontario MILLION$ Mini Main, offering a C$100,000 guarantee.
The High tier features events with buy-ins above C$150, headlined by the prestigious C$1,500 GG Ontario Championship, which comes with a C$200,000 guarantee and the honor of claiming a major title.

Each tier includes 215 events and features its own dedicated leaderboard for top performers, with C$25,000 in prizes up for grabs in each.
The series features eight standout tournaments with six-figure guarantees. four offering C$200,000 and another four with C$100,000 guarantees.
Among the headliners is the C$1,500 GG Ontario Championship, promising a C$200,000 prize pool. It is joined by three other marquee events with the same guarantee: the C$525 Mega Mystery MILLION$, the C$500 Ontario MILLION$ High Roller, and the C$210 Ontario MILLION$ Closer.
Tournaments with C$100,000 guaranteed include the C$50 Ontario MILLION$ Festival, C$52.50 Mystery MILLION$, C$1,050 GGMasters Festival High Roller, and the C$50 Ontario MILLION$ Festival Edition. All of these events follow a phased format with multiple Day 1 flights.
Other notable events include the C$150 GGMasters Edition with a C$50,000 guarantee, the C$150 GGMasters Grand Opening boasting C$60,000, and the weekly C$105 Sunday Bounty King Ontario, which offers a C$50,000 prize pool every Sunday.
Every tournament in the series features a guaranteed prize pool, ranging from C$750 up to C$200,000. On average, each event offers around C$10,616 in guarantees. Several tournaments proudly nod to GGPoker’s Ontario roots, with names like CN Tower Sunday Superstack, Maple Leaf Madness, Heater CN Rail Edition, and Timmy H’s.
The schedule offers a diverse mix of formats, including Progressive Knockouts (PKOs), Mystery Bounty events, freezeouts, turbos, and hypers, across both Hold’em and Omaha variants.
Ontario Festival Continues to Grow
Compared to last year, the overall guaranteed prize pool has grown by C$1 million. In 2023, the festival guaranteed C$3 million, meaning this year’s series has more than doubled in size over the past two years. It is worth noting, however, that the number of individual tournaments has also doubled since those earlier editions.
Meanwhile, no other Ontario online poker rooms are running a tournament series at the moment. Both BetMGM Poker Ontario and PokerStars Ontario have already wrapped up their Spring Championship events, but neither came close to matching the scale of what GGPoker is currently offering.
Outside of Ontario, GGPoker’s global platform, which serves the rest of Canada poker players and international markets, is running the massive GGPoker World Festival, boasting a record-breaking $250 million in guaranteed prize money. The series spans over 1,600 tournaments, making it one of the largest ever held.
