The Borgata Spring Poker Open schedule has been released and there is a lot to be excited about!
The popular tournament series will run for two weeks in April, (12- 29) with 22 live tournaments on the schedule where over $3 million in guaranteed prize pools will be up for grabs.
The not-to-be-missed three-day $1 Million Guaranteed Borgata Championship starts on April 24 and is scheduled to play down to a winner on April 28. The $2,700 buy-in Main Event promises to be full of great poker action with the Final Table available on live stream.
One noticeable difference from last year is the absence of the World Poker Tour World Championship. The $15,400 buy-in event, in which Asher Conniff won a whopping $937,683, has been replaced with the WPT Tournament of Champions which will take place from April 22-24 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida.
Deep Stack Play
No Limit Hold’em deep stack events will be the main staple of the BSPO with the tournament series featuring the player-favored format in nine of its 22 events.
The series will once again culminate in a three-day finale that features Deep Stack, Deeper Stack and Deepest Stack events. In addition, Event #11 is an “Almighty Stack” tournament that features a $500,000 guarantee with coverage of the Final Table to be live streamed.
Online Qualifiers and Satellites
Online qualifiers and satellite tournaments start next Sunday March 27. Qualifiers will run multiple times during the day to allow as many people as possible to take part.
Last year, Asher Conniff won a seat into the Borgata $1 Million Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament which he ended up winng. His prize package included an entry into the WPT Championship which he also won!
