PokerStars has released a draft schedule for its World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), and is looking for player feedback.
The annual series is by far the largest event in online poker. Last year there were 65 events and the total prize pool—which was guaranteed at $30 million—ended up exceeding a staggering $55 million.
This year’s series, which is scheduled to start on Sunday, September 8 and run for three weeks, promises more of the same: 65 events running the gamut of PokerStars offerings, including Zoom tournaments, knockouts, Badugi, HORSE, 8-game, and more.
Revised this year, the main event now spans 2 days, the buyin has doubled to $10,000, and the first prize guarantee is up from $1m to $1.5m.
