The bwin World Poker Tour Cyprus Classic is set to hit the shores of the Mediterranean island nation this Monday, August 12.

Held at the Merit Crystal Cove and Casino, the 13-day poker series guarantees $3M in total prize money over the course of 35 total events. Highlights include the $4000+$400 main event starts on August 16 and a $1M guarantee, and the series’ WPT High Roller event, a $10k buy-in, hopes to surpass the promised $400k cash prizepool.

Last year saw “Mad” Marvin Rettenmaier take down the main event and make history in the process, becoming the first player in WPT history to win back-to-back titles.
