- The Carbon Online Poker Series III is set for this September and will guarantee $2 million in prizes over 79 events.
- The Series schedule overlaps with that of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP).
Carbon Poker, a member of the Merge Gaming Network, has announced the fourth installment of its “Online Poker Series.”
Scheduled to take place over the course of 15 days in September, the Series will boast a $2 million guaranteed prize pool divvied up among 79 events—ranging in buy-ins from $2.20 to $530.
The Series runs from September 14 – 28 and includes eight NLHE Main Events providing a total of $500,000 in guarantees.
OPS III will offer many lower stake alternatives to the upcoming PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) which is scheduled from September 8 – 29. It will also provide grinders playing the WCOOP the opportunity to add some extra tables with individual guarantees reaching as high as $250,000.
Despite its promising guaranteed prizepool, Carbon and its parent network have come under fire from customers recently due to changes in its customer loyalty program as well as opaque policies surrounding its discouragement of winning, high volume players.
