The tournament billed as $1 for $1 Million would require a ludicrous 1 million entrants to cover the guarantee. No online poker room or operator has put a seven-digit guarantee on a one-figure buy-in tournament before, making it the world’s largest guaranteed poker tournament for such a micro-level buy-in.
To help it reach its unfeasible target, the tournament will rely on more than a dozen starting flights from today through mid-August. Players can re-enter each flight up to three times, and the tournament has adopted the Best Stack Forward policy allowing players to play additional Day 1 flights even if they qualify for Day 2. Day 1s are scheduled to run twice every Wednesday and Sunday through August 17.
