January in Ontario is a great time to stay indoors, especially as Ontarians dig out from the biggest storm this year. Luckily, PokerStars Ontario is giving you over 100,000 more reasons to stay inside this weekend and grind in the KO Weekend. The weekend event comes hot on the heels of the recently concluded Chinese New Year Series.
The PKO action this weekend will be sizzling hot, no matter what the weather outside is doing. There is more than $100k guaranteed on PokerStars Ontario this coming weekend, with a special KO Weekend promotion that will run all PKO, all the time.
An enormous chunk of that $100k guarantee is reserved for the KO Weekend Sunday Special. The $100 event will play out in the PKO format with $42,000 guaranteed. That makes it the highest-value game across the weekend series, but there is much more to the upcoming weekend than just a single big game.
The Mini Sunday Special also offers a lot of value, and at a $20 buy-in, it is a very affordable shot at a $6k guarantee. Overall, a dozen events are spread over the weekend, with the first themed game kicking off on the evening of Saturday, Jan 28.

Knockout the Winter Blues
January is not always the most pleasant time in Canada, so PokerStars provides Ontario online poker players with every reason to stay inside. The KO Weekend runs Jan 28 and 29 with 12 events and more than $100,000 in guarantees.
The biggest game of the mini-series is undoubtedly the KO Weekend Sunday Special. There is $42k guaranteed in this game alone. With a buy-in of $100, the tournament will need 458 entries to hit that guarantee, so there could be some significant value up for grabs, and there is potential for overlays.
The KO Weekend Mini Sunday Special goal is slightly more modest, with a $6,000 guarantee on the $20 game. That still means the tournament will need to attract 330 entries to cover the promise, so there is an excellent shot at some bargain value.
While the Sunday Specials are the best-value games of the weekend, there is more than $50k guaranteed outside of them. The highest guarantee outside of the Sunday Specials is the $18k-guaranteed High Roller event on Sunday, followed by the $8k-guaranteed Saturday Rumble.
PokerStars Ontario streamer Arlie Shaban was just in Alberta for some live poker, but he will no doubt be among the players looking for PKO glory in the upcoming PokerStars KO Weekend. Games range from $20 to $250, so there is something for every bankroll.
The PKO action kicks off at 18:05 (local time) on Jan 28, with the big Sunday Special games starting 24 hours later. See below for a complete look at the KO Weekend events to plan your bounty-hunting expedition.
