All fans of tournament action have something to look forward to as 888poker has announced the second iteration of The Festival Online series. Following on from the success of the first event from the last year, the operator has partnered with PokerListings to bring out yet another exciting festival of online poker.
Things will kick off this weekend, with the first tournaments taking place on Sunday, Mar 19, and the action will continue for the next three weeks, with the closing event taking place on Apr 13. The series comes with a promise of $1,000,000 in guaranteed prizes spread across over 30 tournaments.
Of course, the $200k GTD Main Event will be the highlight of The Festival, with 888poker hosting numerous Day 1s over the coming weeks to give as many players as possible a chance to get involved. Additionally, there will be several Mystery Bounty tournaments taking place, as this format has proven extremely popular in recent months.
888poker The Festival Online 2023: Key Highlights
For those looking to join the action, The Festival comes with a rich schedule of events featuring a wide range of buy-ins. On the lower end of the spectrum, there is a fair number of $11 and $22 tournaments, while high rollers can get busy with several $525 events.
Naturally, there are many events that fall in-between these two extremes, including the $215 Main Event. Offering the guarantee of $200,000, the Main Event features several Day 1s from April 6 — 10. On Monday, Apr 10, Day 2 will take place, playing down to the final table.
The final few players will come back on Apr 11 to play down to the winner, and 888poker will stream the action live on its official Twitch channel.
There are quite a few interesting events leading up to the Main, though. On the opening day, players can get involved with the $109 Mystery Bounty event, featuring a $100,000 guarantee, alongside its lower-stakes ($22) and high-roller ($525) iterations running concurrently.
The multi-day $160 Texas PKO event is another one to watch as it comes with a promise of $150,000, making it the second-biggest guarantee of The Festival Online, behind just the Main Event.
