Big Sunday Games
Although the Afterparty will span the entire weekend, the big headline events are reserved for Sunday, a common practice in online poker. Over CAD $100,000 of the overall prize pool will be distributed to the players on April 16.
There are nine tournaments scheduled for the day, but a majority of the overall prize pool will go out to two events, namely:
- Event #23 – $100 Sunday Special SE – $40k GTD
- Event #24 – $500 Sunday Super High Roller – $30k GTD
Beyond these two, there is good value to be had in the $50 Progressive KO Battle Royale, which promises at least $10,000 in prizes. For those with smaller bankrolls, Events #18 and #19 provide good opportunities featuring $7.3k in guaranteed prizes for a combined buy-in of just $30.
Quality Friday and Saturday Action
While Sunday may be the pinnacle of the PokerStars Ontario ONSCOOP Afterparty, the other two days also feature plenty of exciting action.
Things will kick off on Friday with a PKO opening event featuring a $3k guarantee for a buy-in of just $10. Later on, the $20 Mini Friday Battle will allow players to compete for at least $4,000 in prizes.
For those with slightly deeper pockets, two $100 tournaments are scheduled for Friday, featuring prize pools of $12,000 and $10,000.
On Saturday, there are nine events on the docket, a few of which are definitely worth your attention:
- Event #10 – $30 7-max PKO with $5.5k GTD
- Event #13: $100 The Brawl SE with $14k GTD
- Event #14: $200 Saturday Rumble with $12k GTD
- Event #15: $50 Mini Saturday Rumble with $5.5k GTD
- Excellent tournament schedule

The series focuses mainly on Hold’em tournaments, but if you want to play something different, there will be two opportunities. On April 14, there is a $10 PLO tournament, while a No-Limit Omaha H/L event is scheduled for April 16.
It is worth noting that a dozen tournaments in the $5 – $10 buy-in range are taking place across the mini-series, so even players with the smallest bankrolls will not be left out. To go with the pint-sized buy-ins, these events also have smaller, but still respectable, guarantees in the $1k – $4k range.
All 26 events in the ONSCOOP Afterparty allow up to five re-entries during the late registration period, giving players more wiggle room and allowing them to take a few extra shots at the prizes.
Head to PokerStars to join the ultimate spring poker party and take home a slice of CAD $180,000.
