The WPT World Championship Main Event, taking place at the Wynn, Las Vegas, this December, will be one of the biggest and most exciting live poker tournaments in 2023. The event comes with a hefty price tag of $10,400, but thanks to WPT Global, players can win their seats for a fraction of that price.
The operator is running daily satellites and qualifiers, and players can start their journey to the WPT World Championship seat for as little as $5. This means that everyone can get involved and have a shot, and we will likely see a fair number of online qualifiers in Las Vegas come December.
Last year’s event at the Wynn exceeded all expectations, blowing the guaranteed prize pool of $15 million out of the water. The tournament ended up dishing out almost two times that amount, and if this year’s trends are any indicator, the 2023 version could be even bigger. All this is to say that these satellites are well worth your time.

Build Your Way Up from $5
Every Sunday from August 6 onwards, the WPT Global real money platform is hosting Direct Qualifiers for the WPT World Championship, with buy-ins of $220 and $1060. All winners receive $12,400 packages, covering their buy-in and giving them $2000 in spending money.
If direct qualifiers are out of your budget, you can start much lower. There are daily satellites available for as little as $5, and these offer seats for Sunday Qualifiers. So, while you will need some extra time and a bit of luck, it is entirely possible to find yourself playing for the big bucks this winter without spending too much.
One interesting thing is that players are allowed to play and win as many World Championship packages as they like, and while these cannot be exchanged for money, they can be given out to other players. This is an interesting move by WPT Global and not a common practice with online satellites, but the strategy should help further boost the numbers in the Main Event.
All qualifiers will be able to pick between two initial flights: Flight A on December 12 or Flight B on December 13.

A Winter Filled With Poker Action
The WPT World Championship is guaranteed to bring big crowds in Las Vegas this winter, as more surrounding tournaments will lead up to the Main Event. But the Wynn is not the only place that will be brimming with hot poker action during the cold season.
The brand-new WSOP Paradise will be taking place in the Bahamas around the same time, featuring 15 bracelet-awarding events and $50 million in guarantees. GGPoker, WSOP’s online partner, has pledged to send 1000 players to the event, so it is another one that you can get involved with without breaking the bank.
Across the pond, the European Poker Tour (EPT) from PokerStars LIVE will be taking place in Prague, bringing some closer-to-home action for players in Europe.
There are certainly plenty of options to choose from, but if your heart is set on Las Vegas and the big WPT World Championship, you should check out the daily and weekly satellite schedule at WPT Global. With a bit of luck, you could seriously cut your traveling expenses!
