BetMGM Poker is set to launch the second installment of its prestigious Big Shots series from December 10 to 17 across its three active US online poker states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
The series boasts a combined guaranteed prize pool of $750,000 across the three participating states, catering specifically to mid to high-stakes players. With tournament buy-ins ranging from $20 to $1000, the Raise the Stakes All Week event comprises 23 events in each state.
Leading the pack in terms of guarantees is BetMGM Poker NJ, offering $261,500 across its 23 tournaments. Following closely is BetMGM Poker PA with $248,500 guaranteed, and BetMGM Poker MI guarantees $246,500 in prizes.
The series features a consistent schedule, including a notable six-figure Sunday event with a $100,000 guarantee and a $1000 buy-in. The $215 buy-in Main Event also promises $30,000 in New Jersey and $25,000 in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
The diverse schedule features regular and PKO Hold’em tournaments and multiple Pot-Limit Omaha events. Daily satellites are also available, providing ample opportunities for players to qualify at reduced prices.

Guaranteed prize amounts during this phase range from $5000 to $20,000, incorporating two marquee events: Six-Figure Sunday and the Sunday Main Event.
Despite sharing a similar schedule, each of the three series operates independently. BetMGM has yet to establish shared liquidity between its New Jersey and Michigan player pools — two states that are part of the multi-state online poker compact. The reason for the delay remains unknown, but there is speculation that BetMGM could potentially become the second operator after PokerStars US to link the Michigan player pool with that of New Jersey.
While BetMGM Poker has not officially confirmed its plans, its statement in response to our inquiry about merging Michigan and New Jersey suggests ongoing consideration.
The operator stated, “We will definitely make announcements and communicate when the time comes,” indicating an exploration of the potential advantages of combining the two states.
The integration might potentially take place in 2024.
In addition to the tournament excitement, BetMGM indulges its players with various thrilling cash game promotions, including BRP Builder Cash Games, Cashback Grind, SPINS Leaderboard, Spin the Wheel, and Hot Tables.
Those who have not yet registered with BetMGM Poker US have an enticing welcome bonus awaiting them. New players can benefit from a generous 100% deposit match, offering up to $1000 in bonuses at BetMGM PA, BetMGM MI, and BetMGM NJ. Moreover, players at all three sites will receive an additional reward of $25 in FREEPLAY to kickstart their gaming experience. Click here to sign up and claim your bonus!
