WPT Signature Events Take Center Stage
The ever-popular WPT500 returns to the schedule, featuring nearly a dozen flights. The buy-in to the event is set at $530, for which players are tempted with a guaranteed prize pool of $225,000. It would need 450 entrants to break even and avoid an overlay. It is scheduled to run from the opening day, with Day 2 taking place on New Year’s Eve.
Following closely is the WPT Prime, kicking off on December 31 with a $350,000 guarantee for a $1060 buy-in, meaning the tournament would need 350 runners to meet its guarantee. Similar to WPT500, it spans eleven starting flights twice daily until January 7.
The Winter Main Event steals the spotlight with the series’ largest guarantee. Priced at $200, it promises $400,000 in prize money, spread over multiple flights starting from December 24 and concluding on January 14.
A smaller counterpart accompanies the $200 buy-in Main Event as the $22 Winter Mini Main Event. This miniature version provides excellent value, presenting an affordable buy-in option for those with limited bankrolls. With a guaranteed prize pool of $40,000, there is a high probability of an overlay, making it even more valuable. Multiple Day 1 flights are available, starting on Christmas Eve and concluding on January 13.
The pinnacle of the series, the WPT Championship, replicates the structure of the recently held WPT World Championship. Also, promising $400,000 in guarantees — this event demands a hefty $3500 buy-in, with the winner earning the privilege of having their name engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
All multiple flight events adhere to the best-stack-forward policy, allowing players to take part in multiple Day 1s, carrying forward only the largest stack to Day 2.

Plenty of Side Promotions
To enhance the excitement, the series introduces various promotions, including a series leaderboard awarding the top-ranked player a $12,400 WPT Passport. This package can be used to enter any WPT live event, including the prestigious WPT World Championship which takes place at the end of the year. Prizes for the next 199 ranked players include qualifier tickets ranging from $1060 to $10.
Furthermore, winners from all events stand a chance to win the $12,400 Passport through a “Championship of Champions” freeroll at the series’ conclusion. Second and third place in the freeroll receive $1060 WPT Passport qualifier tickets each, while fourth to eighth positions earn a $220 WPT Passport satellite ticket.
Another freeroll will be held on the same day, inviting all the final tablists across the series. The freeroll awards a $1060 WPT Passport Qualifier ticket to the winner.
