WPT Global KO Series Highlights
The KO Series at WPT Global kicked off last weekend, so a few tournaments are already in the books, but this is nothing to be concerned about, as there is plenty more action left to go.
First off, there are two Main Events on offer. Both of these feature multiple Day 1s throughout the series, culminating on the final weekend:
- $220 Main Event – $250,000 GTD — Day 1 flights every day, Day 2 on Sunday, March 3
- $22 Mini Main Event – $75,000 GTD — Day 1 flights every day, Day 2 on Saturday, March 2
Beyond the Main Event action, there is plenty of bounty action to enjoy around the clock, with almost a dozen tournaments taking place every day. You’ll regularly find buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $220. However, there are also a few higher buy-ins thrown into the mix for those with deeper bankrolls, highlighted by Event #78 on March 2, the $2,100 High Roller with $200,000 GTD.
For those players with a bit tighter budget, the best value outside of the Main Events is found in $55 buy-in tournaments, as several of these come with rather generous guarantees:
- Feb 28 – Event #50 – $55 NLHE PKO with $35,000 GTD
- February 29 — Event #58 — Mega KO with $35,000 GTD
- Daily $55 Knockout Event with $20,000 GTD
As mentioned, there are also many tournaments in the lower buy-in bracket, between $5.50 and $33, and a majority of these come with four-figure guarantees, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. The best-valued event in this bracket is probably the $11 Mini Sunday Slam with a $10k promise.
KO Series Leaderboard Brings Valuable Prizes
In addition to the cash prizes players will be competing for in the tournaments, WPT Global is also running a special KO Series Leaderboard with valuable prizes for the top 200 finishers.
The Leaderboard is completely in the spirit of the series, as points are not earned based on your tournament finishes but rather on the number of KOs throughout the series.
The room has gone all out with the Leaderboard, as those finishing in the top 10 spots will pick prizes worth their efforts and achievements:
- The winner – $12,400 tournament ticket package for the WPT Global Spring Festival
- 2nd — 5th place — tickets to the $1,060 WPT Passport Satellites
- 6th — 10th — one $300 Grand Slam ticket and one $110 Sunday Slam ticket
Everybody else who makes it in the top 200 is looking at a $110 Sunday Slam entry plus some tickets to Global Spins.
Join the Fast-Paced Bounty Action
The KO Series brings about fast and furious action that is unique to bounty tournaments, where eliminating players is often just as important as building your stack and making it to the final table.
If this is a style of play you enjoy, WPT Global is offering several dozen reasons to join the action and prove your tournament skills. On top of the action at the tables, there is also a Leaderboard with valuable prizes up for grabs, and the sooner you start, the better chances you will have to claim one of them!
