The 2024 season of 888poker LIVE has concluded recently with the Coventry festival, and the operator wrapped things up in style, with the Coventry Main Event breaking attendance records.
The good news is that players won’t have to wait long for the new season, as 888poker will be coming back with its series of affordable and exciting live events in 2025, and Madrid will be the first stop on the calendar.
Just like last year, things will kick off in Spain’s capital in January, announcing things to come in the next twelve months, with the full schedule for 2025 probably coming out shortly.
Poker Action Returning to Casino Gran Via
Come January, the halls of Madrid’s Casino Gran Via will once again be filled with players flocking to the tables to show off their skills in the 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event, running Jan 12 — 19, 2025.
As we’ve come to expect from 888poker, the Main Event will feature a fairly affordable buy-in of €888 (around $970). Last year, the tournament attracted over 400 runners, and there is no reason to think 2025 will be any different.
For those looking to get in on the action at a discount, 888poker will also be hosting online qualifiers, allowing players to start their qualification journey for as little as $0.05. Main satellites feature a buy-in of $109 and award a $1,800 package that covers the Main Event entry, as well as travel and accommodation expenses.
In addition to the Main Event, there will be plenty of tournaments on the docket, with buy-ins as low as €120. A few certainly worth mentioning are the €330 Mystery Bounty and the €2,000 High Roller for those with somewhat deeper pockets.
Naturally, Casino Gran Via will host a number of live satellites for the Main Event as well, so players will have an opportunity to put their winnings from side events to good use.
888poker LIVE Is Back
Not that there’s been any doubt about it, but it’s nice to see that 888poker will definitely be hosting another season of their live events.
Over the course of the last several years, these tournaments have significantly grown in popularity, becoming go-to destinations for all types of players. From serious grinders to casual poker fans, 888poker LIVE festivals cater to everyone with their affordable buy-ins, big prize pools, and top-notch organization.
We should have the full schedule for the 2025 season shortly, but if last year is anything to go by, we’ll probably see another stop in Spain, a couple of festivals in the UK, and one in Romania’s capital of Bucharest. It is also quite possible the operator will add a couple of extra stops for the new season.
Speculations aside, those who’d like to kick off the New Year with some poker action can already start planning for the Madrid trip. For a poker fan, it’s hard to imagine a better start to 2025 than a tournament series offering affordable action in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities!
