UK-based PKR announced today the signing of Jake Cody, the 23-year old professonal poker player noted for winning events in the World Poker Tour, European Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker: an achievement known as poker’s “Triple Crown.”
“I’ve been patient with sponsorship, waiting for the right deal to come along,” said Cody. “When I spoke to PKR, I was really impressed with the whole setup and the ideas that they have going forward and I knew straight away I wanted to be part of it.”
Although out of the top twenty in PokerScout's ranking of poker networks by traffic, the boutique room has managed to carve out and maintain a niche with its unique 3D software since it first launched in 2006. It was recently ranked 4th on Deloitte’s Technology Fast50, an annual list of the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK.
