Notable online gaming brand and Ongame operator Goalwin has entered the Spanish market to complement its international and Italian brands.
The GoalWin Spanish launch was first announced back in June, although it has only gone live this week. A second GoalWin brand, PokerMambo, has also launched in Spain. PokerLoco, another brand also slated for Spanish launch, is not yet live.
The site is launching with a first deposit bonus of €5000 and rakeback up to 37%, according to poker-red, a Spanish news and community site promoting the launch.
Ongame in Spain has yet to gain traction. Until now its only operator was Paf, which so far has not generated any traffic. Along with the GoalWin brands, Ongame also announced back in June that two additional unnamed operators would join soon.
Poker action in Spain has so far been dominated by PokerStars, which makes up two thirds of cash game activity. 888 and PartyPoker/bwin also host small but consistent action.
Boss Media/GTECH G2, Microgaming, iPoker and Ongame make up the lower traffic networks in Spain, each right now with just a small handful of operators and sporadic activity. However, as the confidence in the Spanish market grows, more operators can be expected to join and bolster these networks.
Ongame was recently sold to Amaya Gaming. Despite uncertainty over the last year pending a successful sale, the dot.com network has performed admirably, out-performing competing networks like iPoker and PartyGaming which have each seen precipitous declines of 30%+ in cash game traffic over the last year. It has also maintained player pools in both France and Italy.
