The weekend is here, and New Jersey online poker players have the opportunity to get their cut of this weekend’s guaranteed prize pools exclusively available from a selection of online tournaments in the Garden State. Take a look at what’s on offer over the first weekend of March 2014.
888poker New Jersey Tournaments
888 NJ hosts the $1,000 Six-O-Six which boasts a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool for a $30 buyin with the blinds going up every 12 minutes. The tourney starts at 6:06pm. There is also a $500 Guaranteed Deep Stack Turbo on Saturday at 4:30pm. Players start with $5,000 in chips and the blinds go up every 6 minutes.
The $2,500 Guaranteed NJ High-Rollers starts at 6:20pm. Players start with a 10,000 chip starting stack and can enter for a $100 buyin. A $2,000 Guaranteed version of the NJ High-Roller kicks off at 9:35pm and for the same $100 buyin players get 5,000 in starting chips.
The Big Sunday offers a $10,000 Guarantee for a $200 buyin. The tournament starts at 8pm and offers players a 10,000 chip starting stack and 20 minute blinds.
The Borgata and partypoker Saturday and Sunday Majors
At the Borgata this weekend, members have a range of tournament options courtesy of the Saturday and Sunday Majors.
Saturday features a $2,500 Guaranteed tournament starting at 7pm. The event features 3,000 in starting chips, 10 minute levels and a $20 buyin.
Half an hour later at 7:30pm the $10 buyin Saturday Heads Up Tournament offers a $500 guaranteed prize pool.
Also on the Borgata agenda is the Saturday $10k. This guaranteed event has an entrance fee of $100 and begins at 8pm.
For those looking to make a big score on a limited bankroll, the Saturday Turbo Rebuy comes with a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament also commences at 8:00pm, but with only a $2 buyin, low stakes players can get in on the Saturday action. Rebuys are available and there is a 30,000 chip top-up option when the rebuys come to an end.
The big news this weekend is the Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed event. Entering this tournament may be a bit expensive for some, but the $100,000 guaranteed payout will entice many to take a shot at the $200 buyin tournament. Cards are in the air at 5pm, but late registration is open until 9:00pm.
Ultimate Poker’s Daily and Weekly Guaranteed Tournaments
All guaranteed tournaments at Ultimate Poker fall under their NO-verlay promotion where you either get the benefit of extra value from a tournament that hasn’t reached it guarantee, or if the tournament does meet the guarantee, all players are refunded their buyins in tournament dollars.
Ultimate Poker has their $5,000 Nightly with rebuys and addons on both Saturdays and Sundays. The starting time is 7:30pm and $50 buyin. Blind levels move up every 10 minutes.
There is also a $555 Frenzy that begins at 7pm. This tournament runs 7 days a week and makes a good weekend option with just a $5 buyin. The structure includes rebuys and addons with blinds changing up every 10 minutes.
The above mentioned tournaments are open on Sundays as well. However, the $20,000 Sundays tournament that starts at 6pm eclipses all other tournaments on the site. It offers a $100 buyin and 15 minute blinds—an extra 5 minutes for each blind level compared to any of the other major tournaments on Ultimate Poker.
WSOP Online Satellites and Guaranteed Tournaments
WSOP.com is giving New Jersey poker players a chance to win their seat into the 2014 WSOP Main Event which gaurantees the winner a $10,000,000 prize. The satellite guarantees at least one seat for the $215 buyin and starts at 6pm on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, the $11 rebuy offers a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players will begin with 4,000 chips and blinds will move up every 10 minutes. There are 4,000 chip rebuys and an 8,000 chip addon available.
The $25,000 Sunday Guaranteed priced at $200 + $15 starts at 5pm. Players begin with a 5,000 chip stack to grind their way through 15 minute blind levels. For those arriving late, there is still time to register up until 7pm.
At 7pm the $10,000 Weekly Sunday Guarantee will attract many of the early railbirds from the $25,000 Sunday Guaranteed tournament offering them a chance to redeem themselves. The tournament features starting stacks of 4,000 chips, blind levels of 15 minutes and a $109 buyin.
