Players on poker rooms on the Chico Poker Network, previously the Action Poker Network, have reportedly received cashouts following the return of withdrawal facilities on Monday.
Representatives at the network began to inform players in late June that withdrawals would be honored by the beginning of July, following years of issues at the network that have left players out of pocket.
All pending payouts were cancelled on June 24. Representatives assured players that this was the beginning of a fresh withdrawal process; players were awarded 5% “thank you bonuses,” last week, and full payouts were will be live by July, players were informed.
As promised, on July 1 the cashier was re-opened for withdrawals, and players have reported that money is now back in their Skrill and MoneyBookers accounts within hours of making withdrawal requests.
The issues that faced Chico over the last two years are complex. The Action Poker Network was acquired by Julian International Holdings and, according to network representatives, the company faced “several unforeseen circumstances,” including “regulatory issues, banking issues [and] player bonus fraud,” as well as “extended due diligence.”
In August 2012, a resolution of legal problems between past and present owners gave hope that players would see their funds returned, and the new owners claimed to “unconditionally guarantee past and future payouts.”
Some players reported receiving successful payouts over the last twelve months, but many more were left waiting.
Skins on the network include Pay No Rake, ActionPoker.com, BetOnline and TigerGaming.
