PokerStars continues to increase the range of games available on Zoom with the highest stakes at PLO now up to $1/$2. All the Zoom PLO tables are 6 max, and as yet do not have antes or deep stack options.
As of 2pm today there were 25 standard 6 max tables of $1/$2 PLO running and only 3 players at the Zoom tables. As the news of the new stakes becomes known, PokerStars will be hoping for the same success it has had with its NL Hold’em tables at the same stakes.
The recently introduced $2.50/$5 stake level at NL Hold’em tables are the highest stakes available on Zoom. If the $1/$2 PLO tables attract a crowd, players should see the gradual addition of higher stakes.
PokerStars’ Steve Day recently tantalized the community by revealing that the site was considering moving all its high stakes games to the Zoom format. If so, it looks like players can expect a poco a poco strategy rather than a big bang.
PokerStars has still not launched Zoom Heads Up tables which have been widely anticipated. Relax Gaming’s Zoom competitor—Fast Poker—added them this month and they ought to resolve some of the “bum hunting” issues that currently plague the HU community.
